Here’s a sneak peak at some of the newest items that are included.
A new collection of the popular circle skirts by California’s Marcia Bloom just arrived, including this awesome one in shades of blue, green and purple. Paired here with one of the popular dolman tanks by Necessitees, and united with a clever use of a notKnot. Normally, this combo would set you back $180. This Sunday, it will drop down to $144!
Marysville’s Susie Howell brought a new collection of pencil skirts. Some are mini, some midi, and some maxi like these two that also boast the azure dolman tank like the one you saw on the first skirt. Coordinating jewelry ties everything together as does the black and tan Panama hat. Save 20% on all these items too.
These skirts look great with purple, and believe it or not, the purple top transforms the skirt on the left, which is the same as the one in the photo above. Versatility is awesome! Save 20% on all!
Here’s one of Susie Howell’s midi skirts. Pair it with a coablt tank, a black linen jacket/shirt, and a multi-colored long necklace to tie it all together. Save 20% on everything.
A new company from Lake Stevens, WA, produces these highly irreverent candles with 100% organic soy wax and delicious scents. They’ve been here about a week and are almost half gone already. Let’s sell them all this Sunday so I can order more! $19.95 regularly. Sunday, just $15.98. The perfect gift for certain someones. (P.S. don’t forget to read the “Infused with…” part.)

Elegant summer hats are now here at MaJe Gallery. Supplies are limited to stock on hand, so don’t wait!
Elegant Summer Hats
One of these styles will look good on anyone. Three different profiles fit a range of face shapes, so one will certainly look good on you. Come in and play! Here’s a breakdown of these three.
This woven straw hat in cheerful blue and white straw has a classic shape called the “bucket cloche.” There’s a reason a hat shape becomes a classic, because it looks great on a wide range of women. This features a medium wide brim, a charming bow, and two blue stripes amid a blend of the two colors. As usual, all Parkhurst hats feature SunGuard, which protects your skin 50 times more than wearing nothing. This hat is also adjustable, with a string attached to the inner part to make it exactly the right size for you. Just $34.
Another one of our elegant summer hats is the more casual, cotton knit “Sentinel Peak,” also by Parkhurst. This is a classy take on the typical baseball cap style, featuring a wider brim, sewn-in layers to add character where a hat band would be, and a coconut shell button to decorate. Manya has several of these in different colors, and always gets compliments when she wears them. Available now in black, medium blue and nut (shown). This hat fits most heads well, except very small heads. If you know your head is small, it will be too big. Also, as with all Parkhurst hats, it features SunGuard and protects your skin 50 times more than wearing nothing. $45.
Another classic is the Panama hat, with a wider brim that angles down, protecting your face from the sun’s blasts. This two-tone version is especially classy, and is now available in black and white (as shown on the model), pale blue to medium blue (middle insert), and black and tan (right insert). This is also adjustable, with a string inside the brim to get a perfect fit. Another Parkhurst hat, this again features SunGuard and protects your skin 50 times more than wearing nothing. (Update: The black and white is sold out.)
Elegant Summer Hats – Funky Vintage Feel
In our neighbor city of Portland, Oregon, lives creative upcycler Nicole Flood, creator of elegant summer hats made from cast off tee shirts.
With a distinctly vintage vibe, these cotton, one-of-a-kind hats feature an elegant design focus on one side of an angled brim. Here’s a shot of ten new hats we just received…
All our favorite colors are here, from black to gray for the neutral lovers, then turquoise, hot pink and lime green for a splash of color. With no two hats alike, it’s best to come in and try them on to get the one that fits you best. Manya will show you the best way to wear them to get the most of your Flood hat. This is the type of hat you’ll wear all day long, to compliment your outfit of the day. Just $44 each. Machine washable (after all, they began life as a mere tee shirt, never knowing they’d be turned into a fabulous hat later on.)
Elegant Spring Outfit
There’s nothing quite like the elegance of black and white…
Elegant summer hats need elegant clothing to match! Check out these new pieces from Testimony Los Angeles, featuring a lighter weight french terry (100% cotton!) that is ultra soft. The white top has a high neckline, 3/4 sleeves with ruched elbows, and covers the butt. Pair it with this asymmetrical black vest – made of the same ultra soft light weight cotton knit – that comes complete with pockets! Both are machine washable, very light weight and thus great for travel. Manya added both to her wardrobe and has been getting compliments every time she wears them. Top is $98, Vest is $128. Only a few available, then poof! They’re gone. (UPDATE: As predicted, the vests are all gone. I’m ordering more for first week of July. Want one? Let me know and I’ll set it aside for you.)
Lots more spring and summer items are on the way, so stay tuned! I’ll show you what’s new in next week’s post!
New this week at MaJe Gallery are four tops and three great skirts. Actually, there are twelve new skirts – each one of a kind. But only three have pictures here. You have to come in to see the rest!
Let’s start with four tops
These are all made in California by Necessitees – a popular brand that’s been around for quite a while. 94% cotton, 6% spandex ensures a long-lasting shirt. Machine washable.
We’ll start with the love fall color of ruby. This T-shirt features a crew neck, 3/4 sleeves, and a relaxed fit – perfect to hide any extras in the torso. $48.
Here we have a long-sleeve T-shirt in the beautiful wine color. It features a U-neck that’s not too deep. It’s just right. This one is more form-fitting. If you like it, but don’t like too form-fitting, choose one size larger than your usual and all will be well. $39.
This neckline is called the “Morocco” – it’s a soft V, a little rounded as it hits the neck. It is particularly flattering. The V is not very deep, perfect to show off you pendant. This is one of the more form-fitting styles, which makes it particularly good for layering. It has 3/4 sleeves in a color called “Beryl” – a lovely blue with a hint of green. $37.
This is another with the Morocco softened V-neckline, but this time in black. This is one of the more form-fitting styles, which makes it particularly good for layering. It has 3/4 sleeves. It’s sure to become your favorite black T-shirt! $37.
And now for Three Skirts
Marcia Bloom creates funky one-of-a-kind skirts that are extremely comfortable to wear, and a whole lot of fun. Dress them up, or dress them down. Pair your skirt with a solid color top and you are set to go. I’ve seen them paired with a T-shirt and jean jacket for a casual look. Or go for a dressier solid top and a drapey jacket to get more dressy. Pair it with boots in the winter!
All of these fall just below the knee. The magic waistband works on sizes 4 – 16. Seriously. People sometimes struggle to figure out how to style themselves with these awesome skirts. Here’s a suggestion.
This pretty skirt in shades of blue is another one from the latest collection. I paired it here with a simple black T-shirt (like the one above) and a short Testimony jacket in mineral wash blue. If you’re in Edmonds, you’ll see this on the mannequin in the window for a few more days.
Come on in and try on one of the skirts. I’ll show you several ways to wear it – from casual to dressy. Add a bit of fun to your wardrobe!
We are so pleased to announce a new artist – Nicole Flood from Portland, Oregon. Nicole makes awesome, one-of-a-kind hats from recycled fabrics. We’ve got everything from brights to neutrals, so come on in and choose your favorite. Just $44 each.

We’ve been so happy to get some of the loveliest, sunny spring days in recent memory. It’s the perfect time to remind us all that the Pacific Northwest has some of the highest skin cancer rates around. Protect yourself with a Parkhurst hat which has SunGuard woven right into the fabric. The best part – they are stylish too! One of our new summer hats will be perfect for you!
This charming version is in the “bucket” shape, which looks good on nearly everyone. It’s both adjustable and reversible, making it an excellent choice. Folds flat for travel. Just stuff it in your bag. Light weight cotton fabric in a white and sand color combo. It’s a standard for summer hats.
We’re sold out just now so I ordered more. Call to reserve one for yourself in advance! Also coming in black/white, red/white, and denim blue/white.
To make a bold statement, go with this charming wide-brimmed hat in white, sand and black. The multiple colors make it go with all your spring/summer outfits. This is also adjustable as well as packable. Best of all, it also has the SunGuard woven right into it.
Add this delightful tunic to your spring/summer wardrobe. Paired with either black or white pants, it’s a flattering style on every figure. Better yet, it’s made of modal, which is incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. I’m currently sold out, but there’s a possibility a large will be coming. Interested? Let me know!
Visitors to MaJe Gallery are often mesmerized by the intricate nature of the wire sculptures of Jeanette Trudeau. Specializing in horses, we usually have an array of smaller ones in stock. Every now and then, Jeanette goes all out and creates an especially large one. The one delivered a few days is the largest we’ve seen yet. Isn’t she regal?

We just got a shipment of hats from Parkhurst. There are some lovely ones in here too! They are great for every day to enhance your personality. They are also wonderful for travel. Most are crushable or simply flatten down.
Another great benefit of these hats is they are very soft inside, making them an excellent choice for those experiencing hair loss from chemo or another medical condition. They offer full coverage of your head and are stylish to boot.
This is the Rustic Wave Cloche, shown here in indigo. It sits low on the head and is a very classy look. The cloche style gained a big following in the 20s. Wear it with jeans and a T-shirt and turn your average outfit into something distinctive.
For those experiencing hair loss, this softly woven cotton fabric feels soft against the skin. A bit of spandex keeps it in place. Hats for hair loss are tough to find. Your search ends here.
Also available in a wonderful red.
For those who prefer more of a brim, we have the Barbara Boater. The neutral sand color makes it extremely versatile. The black band has a small bow that is sewn flat against the side of the hat so it doesn’t stick out. Very simple and classy.
This is another wonderful choice for those struggling with hair loss. Hats for hair loss are not only hard to find, they are often fairly unattractive. Not so with Parkhurst hats.
And for travel, it collapses flat, while the plastic edge helps keep the shape of the brim in place.
For a classier update on the simple baseball cap style, check out the Sentinel Peak hat here. It’s deeper than the traditional baseball cap, so you can wear it down low to cover all of your head. Or style it like Manya did here, a bit higher up, then jauntily skewed to one side with the excess fabric on top folded over.
The extra wide brim is perfect for keeping the sun out of your eyes.
Yet another wonderful option in the hats for hair loss category. Very soft against your skin, and pulling it low completely covers your scalp, yet you look very stylish.
Shown here in “cargo”, an olive green, it’s also available in navy blue, sand and black.
The bowler style hat is an age-old classic that never seems to ever really go away. Why? Because it looks really good on just about everyone. This is a woven polyester hat that is crushable, making it an excellent travel companion.
Shown here in a lovely red, it is also available in black, tan and spring green. Or was, I should say. We only have one spring green in stock now. More are ordered! Give me a call if you want to reserve one for yourself!
There are several other styles in stock as well. Stop by to check them out and play a bit!
