New Fall Arrivals
Two ancient natural substances become beautiful contemporary mates in this one-of-a-kind pendant by Bonnie AuBuchon. Amber is fossilized tree resin, has been appreciated for its color and beauty since Neolithic times. Ammonites are fossilized sea creatures, similar to a nautilus. A master metalsmith, Bonnie created a flowing frame in sterling silver to unite the separate elements together. This is just one of our new fall arrivals. It hangs from a black leather cord measuring 17″
Also among our new fall arrivals is new jewelry by Montreal’s Christophe Poly. He studied architecture in college, then fell in love with the small scale of jewelry sculpture. One of the most popular jewelers at MaJe Gallery, this is one of the newest pieces in our new fall arrivals. Brushed silver and bronze with aqua cat’s eye stones, it sits on a 17″ double wire necklace with a magnetic clasp. (Update 10/12: Necklace now sold)
Once familiar with the jewelry of Christophe Poly, it’s easy to recognize. This set is composed of bright, shiny silver, with one brushed silver circle on the right side. The lavender cat’s eye gives it a cool mood. Like above, this is also on the 17″ double wire with magnetic clasp.
Also among our new fall arrivals are these fairly subdued skirts from our usually riotously colored skirts by California’s Marcia Bloom. As comfortable as always, these would all look great with your black boots this fall and winter. One size fits 6 – 16. Don’t believe me? Stop by and see for yourself! (Update: These three are now sold out.)
Flummoxed about how to work with your Marcia Bloom skirt? Check out this one here with the lovely fall colors. We recommend pairing Marcia’s skirts with a solid-colored top. Pull the top and bottom together by selecting a second color from the skirt, and wear that as a scarf (or a necklace if you prefer). In this instance, we choose the medium brown from one of the stripes in the skirt and found a top in that color. Here is a Luxe Junkie 3/4 sleeve top in “mocha”. Next, we choose the brightest color in the skirt for the scarf – a rich terra cotta. This is a hand-painted silk scarf by our beloved Birgit Moening. (Update: this exact skirt has sold. However, we have one similar. It’s the same fabric in the body and hem. The waistband is a different fabric. Interested? I can send you a photo.)
Alternatively, wear a solid terra cotta top, and either a mocha or mustard scarf. By selecting higher contrasts, you make a very stylish statement with ease.
